Moving Masterpieces for Winds
Sunday Oct 30, 2016 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Amy E. W. Prince, Soprano
Daniel Warren, Conductor
Mostly under the influence of the great master of wind writing, Richard Strauss, this program features soprano Amy Waller singing his beloved Four Last Songs, instrumental version of Allerseelen and Zueignung, and the effervescent Waltzes from Der Rosenkavelier. The program is rounded out with Eric Whitacre’s moving Cloudburst, Boris Kozhevnikov’s Symphony No. 3: Slavyanskaya, and Bach’s Komm, süsser Tod, arranged for winds by Alfred Reed.
