Music Director Candidate – Pratik Gandhi

This concert showcases some of our highly accomplished musicians accompanied by the Wellington Wind Symphony. A trio from our trumpet section will play Leroy Anderson’s Bugler’s Holiday. Saxophonist Tracey Frank brings us Robert Ward’s Concerto for Tenor Saxophone and Band. Eric Satie’s Two Gymnopédies for flute and winds, and Michael Brand’s Tuba Tapestry, played by Allan Lee, are exciting additions to the afternoon. In addition, the complete ensemble will perform James Barnes’s beautiful Symphonic Overture, Claude T. Smith’s spirited Symphony No. 1 for Band, and Gordon Jacob’s beloved An Original Suite.
