Focusing on music written originally for band, we offer a program with great variety. Among the expressive selections are Julie Giroux’s One Life Beautiful, Eric Whitacre’s Sleep, and Samuel Barber’s Andante and Tranquillo. Adding contrast are Vincent Persicheltti’s Symphony No. 6 for Band, Op. 69, Bert Appermont’s Saga Candida, and Jacob de Haan’s Ross Roy Overture. Finally, we are very pleased to have acclaimed mezzo-soprano Jennifer Enns Modolo, as our guest soloist. Jennifer will perform selections from Alban Berg’s Seven Early Songs (transcribed by Dave Arthur).
