The Wellington Wind Symphony’s concert season runs from fall to spring each year.
Surprises have been promised on this concert and we plan to deliver! We are delighted to have the Cambridge Kiwanis Boys Choir, directed by Ann Green, as our guests. They will perform several choral favourites alone and some with the Winds, including The Polar Express Medley (arr. Audrey Snyder). The Wind Symphony will revel in wonderful Christmas music, some that might be new to you: James M. Stevenson’s Overture to a Winter Celebration, Bobby Herriot’s Jingle Bells Fantasy, and Gaudete (arr. Christie Hunter). In addition, beloved favorites will be performed, including Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite and an audience singalong, Alfred Reed’s A Christmas Celebration. An added perk is that all of our Conductor Candidates will be on stage!
Please note that this is an evening concert, starting at 7:30 pm.
