Our exciting finale to 2023-2024!

Please join the Wellington Wind symphony as we present ‘Boomba!’ to finish our season. What’s “boomba,” you ask? Is it a new dance craze? Something really, really loud? Well, you’ll have to come to the concert and find out! (Hint: it might involve one or some of us doing something crazy!) This WWS concert is just plain FUN. Kevin Day’s “Havana,” (will there be cigars? Yeah) and Alfred Reed’s beloved, “El Camino Real.” And, would a concert really be ‘fun’ if it didn’t have some John Williams? We think not!

We are also VERY excited to announce that Michael Barry, Boomba’s composer, will be joining us from California to attend our concert! It has been some time since the Wellington Wind Symphony has hosted a composer, and we are very much looking forward to it. Having Barry here with us will be very special for our players, as we will have the opportunity to hear details about his music from him before our performance. Also, there will be a chance for our audience to interact with him as well during the afternoon.

Truly not a concert to be missed, we hope to see you out at this season’s final concert, ‘Boomba!’
