December 2020 News

On behalf of the Wellington Wind Symphony board and all members of the group, we wish you and yours the best for this very unusual holiday season.

We had previously announced the cancellation of the first two concerts of our 2020-21 season, and we regret that we have now had to cancel the entire season. Plans are underway to resume performing during the 2021-22 season. We will keep you informed through this newsletter, and updates will also be posted on our website.

Although we have not been able to get together for concerts, we offer some musical memories from our YouTube channel.

Première Neige, featuring Greg Stroh on piccolo, with Michael Purves-Smith conducting.
And who can forget this memorable arrangement of Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus by Dave Arthur, conducted by Daniel Warren and featuring narrators Gordon Green and Marika Duncan.

We wish you all the best for a safe and happy holiday, and look forward to the day when we can get together to enjoy live music once again.
